In August do radio gymnastic exercises with the dog 八月や 犬と第一 いちにさん Hachigatu ya Inu to daiichi 1 2 3 *** In Japan, elementary schools are on summer vacation during late July to the end of August. During the vacation,  "radio gymnastic exercises" are held in public grounds from 6:30 a.m. every morning. Children, their parents and neighbors gather in the nearby ground and do "radio gymnastic exercises" to the music on the radio. Children are given attendance cards, and each morning the leader stamps on it. I felt proud to see stamps filling my card. A card filled with stamps is a trophy for a child. Doing exercises in the shrine's  ground.

There are two ponds, Genji-ike and Heike-ike.
