Haiku in August

These are my writings of haiku in August. Broad letter is a season word.

inside
桃啜りこの身の熾きを鎮むべし

a blushing cheek of a tomato
start a day lively

the sun rises
touch slower
秋たちて半歩遅れて日がのぼる

cicadas
shut down the computer
trills of cicadas
rush into my eardrums

a green caterpillar
a green caterpillar
a gluttony lodger
in my garden
芋虫や大食漢の居候

a camellia nut
rub
a creaking old house
with a camellia nut
古家の軋みに当てる椿の実

the first autumn wind
the smooth skin
is rippled
by the first autumn wind
初風や滑らかな肌あわだちぬ

beyond the heat limit

the Trilling Orchestra
formed two groups
処暑過ぎてトリル楽団二部となる

A Japanese pepper-

Monkey booze
sip monkey booze
return to childhood
climb a tree
ましら酒童心還り木に上る

a mosquito in autumn

keeps a graveyard
for free

comfortably in my hand

can you taste
the difference?

  1. Thank you for inviting me to see this Nori. I get a great deal of pleasure from your haiku. Importantly, your words evoke many fond memories of my trips to Japan.
